How to Play
Mini Sudoku
Mini Sudoku is a quick 6×6 sudoku variant. It uses the same logic as classic sudoku but takes a fraction of the time, which makes it a good puzzle for a short break.
Rules

- The grid is 6 rows by 6 columns, split into six 2×3 boxes.
- Every row must contain the numbers 1 through 6, each exactly once.
- Every column must contain the numbers 1 through 6, each exactly once.
- Every 2×3 box must contain the numbers 1 through 6, each exactly once.
- Some numbers are given at the start; the rest follow from pure logic.
Tips & Strategy
- With only six numbers, scanning a whole row or column for a missing value is usually enough. You rarely need to keep track of many possible numbers per square.
- Compare the numbers missing from each 2×3 box with the rows and columns that cross it. On a board this small, that narrows down the options quickly.
- A square with only one possible number left can always be filled in right away. Look for these first, before trying anything trickier.
- Because the grid is small, working through it box by box tends to be faster than jumping between rows and columns.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is Mini Sudoku easier than regular Sudoku?
- It uses the same rules as classic sudoku on a smaller 6×6 grid with 2×3 boxes. Most players finish it noticeably faster.
- Do I need any different strategy than regular Sudoku?
- No. Every technique that works on a 9×9 grid (scanning, candidates, hidden singles) works here too, with fewer numbers to keep track of.
- Is a new Mini Sudoku puzzle available every day?
- Yes. A new 6×6 grid appears every day, and just like the full-size Sudoku it has a single solution that basic scanning is enough to find, with no lucky guesses needed.
